The Word: Top
To begin, I will continue my blog with the most current homework.
Top. According to dictionary.com, there are multiple of definitions for this work. And by multiple, I mean so much that I really don’t want to post them all. It goes into the forties of different definitions. Here’s the link for the dictionary.com page: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/top Be sure to click expand to see all of the definitions.
But to me, when I first think of the word ‘top,’ I think the top of things. Like ‘place that thing on the top of that other thing.’ When I think further into the meaning of top, I think of a spinning toy, mostly a dreidel, which is basically a top, with four sides. Each side has a Hebrew letter on it and they all mean different things, for when you’re playing the game, whatever side the dreidel lands on tells you what to do. You could take all in the pile; take absolutely none, take half, or put one into the pile. Other than that, tops amuse me.

Now to deviate from the word ‘top,’ all my other posts I should have posted… I feel so far behind in that and I also feel bad that I haven’t been keeping it up, but blogging really isn’t my thing. On deviantART, I don’t really use the journal all that much. I use it occasionally, but mostly to feature other people. And I really don’t think people pay attention to my journal anyway, so I don’t bother. However, I am going to try and remember to blog. I really will. And hopefully, by the end of the weekend, I’ll have all the missing homeworks and other info and stuff up on the blog.
See ya next time on the not creatively titled blog.
Exploration #1
“Right where you are sitting write ten things about where you are sitting right now that you hadn’t noticed when you sat down. Use your senses. Do it quickly. Do not censor. Okay begin.” -Keri Smith, How to Be an Explorer of the World: Portable Art Life Museum
- the box under my bed says 820
- this chair is comfy
- my batteries are sitting on my desk
- a lot of glow-in-the-dark stars have fallen down
- there is a lot of blue and green things around
- both of my sneakers are facing left
- the top drawer on the desk is open ajar
- my step stool is under my desk
- my bed sheet is wrinkly
- 4 screws are visible on the bulletin board
What a… not… interesting list. And I only did do one exploration, but I did read the whole entire book. There is a lot of explorations that require collecting items!
And I totally realized that homework blog posts won’t be very creative.
… Next post!
Hello the World!
Well, this is interesting. We have to create a blog for Foundations. I can’t say this will be an enjoyable process, but I may change my mind later. It is totally possible, and I might start blogging more, but I can’t promise anything.
So yeah. This is the blog. I’m shocked I haven’t put The Dark Carousel anywhere because that’s what I use everywhere on the internet. Like… my deviantART page!
…self advertising…
http://www.thedarkcarousel.deviantart.com/ (I am addicted. For those who have a subscription to dA and would like to share, feel free to, you know, share. You could share points too. That’d be awesome!)
Anyway, I am now getting to the actual homework. New post.
